John Brown Robertson and Margaret Johnston moved to the USA in 1882. They had six children.
John Robertson was a granite mason.

Buried 5 January 1892 in Woodland cemetery, Philadelphia, USA.

At the 1901 census, four children were living at Colliehill, Cruden, with their uncle Alexander Johnston,  his wife Mary, their children and Alexander's mother.

Alex remained in the USA.

Blanche regularly corresponded with her brothers, Alex & Archie, and in 1936 or 1937 Alex made a trip to Winnipeg and Blanche, Walter & Alex enjoyed a wonderful reunion.

Sometime in the 1940's, Walter, Alex & Archie met again when Walter was in Cleveland, Ohio as Trainer of the Cleveland Barons of the American Hockey League.

John & Margaret are believed to have died of influenza.
